After a tumultuous few months of campaigning and debates, Sen Kamala Harris dropped out of the presidential race today. After the tongue lashing she received from Tulsi Gabbard on a public debate stage in prime time, we suddenly stopped hearing as much from Ms. Gabbard and it’s much too unfortunate. Though social media, as mentioned in the article, is making some facets of fact checking more easy it’s also making it more interesting when considering opinions of the people making the assumptions online. When most people seem to hold their own political party members to higher standards than the others it makes it much easier for candidates to only pander to one side of the aisle instead of 100 percent(or as close as possible) instead. It also doesn’t help your chances of winning when there are close to 20 others running against you.
