Lol we are currently LARPing the movie Minority Report with this bill. You can't criminalize thought. This bill is incredibly clever and incredibly dangerous. Here's an interesting piece of language in the bill:<br /><br />(2) BEHAVIORAL THREAT ASSESSMENT AND<br />MANAGEMENT.—The term ‘‘behavioral threat assessment and management’’ means the systematic and<br />evidence-based process of—<br /> (A) identifying individuals who are exhibiting patterns of concerning behavior that indicate an interest, motive, intention, or capability<br />of carrying out an act of violence; <br /><br />see that \"or capability\" part. Legally that would be interpreted the same as if it was worded like this: <br /><br />Any individual who shows ANY of the following patterns of concerning behavior: 1) interest in carrying out an act of violence, 2) motive for carrying out an act of violence, 3) intention to carry out an act of violence, 4) or the CAPABILITY of carrying out an act of violence.<br /><br />Simply being in possession of a firearm makes you capable of carrying out an act of violence, and means you have the intention to carry out an act of violence if need be. This alone would make you fail a threat assessment granting the government the right to strip you of your firearms.<br /><br />A simple accusation by a neighbor who disagrees with your politics could get you stripped of your firearms without due process. Every patriotic American should demand his immediate removal from office along with his cabinet and any other conspirators in Congress. They should all be tried and charged accordingly. This is not based on some theory about Russian collusion or any other nonsense. <br /><br />Openly stating your intent to subvert the constitution and violate the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment rights of all Americans, convert police into some modern version of the Nazi Gestapo, etc. is enough to justify this response. Pair this with the President’s repeated attempts to subvert the law, openly expressing his disregard for our founding ideals, displaying a very poor understanding of our constitutional limits on power, and his abuse of that executive authority...and what you have is far more than enough to justify his removal from office. At this point, he is a threat to the sovereignty of every citizen, the freedoms we enjoy, and the founding ideals of this nation. He has proven himself unfit for office and an enemy of the citizens of these United States as have his conspirators. He is in direct violation of his Oath of Office. <br /><br />Any gun owner or other citizen who continues to support a President who would even consider supporting such a conspiracy could be guilty of misprision of treason. Anyone currently running for political office who is also deeply affiliated with the President should be pulled from the ballot pending investigation. Any state lawmaker or governor who has passed/signed red flag laws should also be removed from office pending investigation, for they may be participants in the same conspiracy.<br /><br />This serves a test of principle. Those who make excuses for or defend the President can no longer claim to proponents of American ideals or our constitution. This is no longer a political game.
