He said, “Because they’re beautiful, unicorns are often underestimated.”\n\nLoki scowled. “You’d better be able to fix that.” He was acting brave, but Bryony could tell he was beginning to regret his big talk. After all, it was Loki himself who’d told Bryony not to underestimate Azazel. Now he was leaning back in the booth, ready to run if he needed to, not quite sure where the angel was taking this. He didn’t have to wonder long.\n\nOnce Azza had finished etching a small, intricate circle into the café table, he reached across, seized Loki’s wrist, and slammed the Jötunn’s palm down directly in its center. “Stay,” he commanded. And though Loki tried with all his might, he could not for the life of him tear his hand from the circle. “Everyone seems to forget that unicorns have a weapon on hand at all times.” Azza tapped the center of his own forehead. “Don’t assume a beautiful creature can’t fight ugly.”",
