"content": "<p>For those who have been following along with my laundry machine situation, the new machines were delivered yesterday afternoon and the building maintenance guy gave me a brief introduction to using them. They're Maytag, and the washer is a W11408394, and the dryer is a W11555817A. The layout of both machines is pretty much identical, and there is both a knob with a tactile arrow and buttons. I have a written list of the order of the items on the knobs, and interestingly enough, although there are a couple of clicks on the knob that don't have settings, the machines only seem to beep when they're actually on a setting so this is helpful. The buttons are going to be a bit more of a challenge. Although each button is well-defined, they're touch-sensitive, so I need to be careful trying to find them. Once I get home from my trip, I'm hoping to spend a bit more time labeling and things, and I'm thinking that if I can have someone kind of create me a sort of template that can go around the buttons, that could really help. I could also check with Maytag directly to see if they offer anything. But, despite the touch-sensitivity issue, these machines are still a vast improvement over what I had, and I'll definitely be able to modify them to make them easier for me to work with. It also helps that the settings don't randomly change when the machines turn off.</p>",
