And "if they care about anonymity" is a strong statement, if we're talking about encrypted messaging. And everyone else is recommending self-hosting which is just the most deanonimized thing you can do.</p><p>And yes, the biggest risk of Signal is availability, I very much agree. But I'd rather have that than all my chat contacts basically leaked into the open by default.</p>",
