"content": "<p>Every time I look at my Nintendo Switch library, I always see the Final Fantasy X/X2 Collection icon and wish that I could’ve liked the sequel. I liked the story but I just can’t enjoy the combat. They had a perfectly good battle system in FFX, only to throw it out in FFX2 for something infinitely worse. I hate that it’s “real time turn based” where you have to queue your moves on a timer. You’d think this would make battles cooler, but all it has me doing is spamming basic attacks because anything else takes too long to select. And the Dressphere system is also cool on paper, but it just doesn’t click for me for the same reasons as the combat system (switching jobs takes too much time). There’s a monster collecting aspect that feels like an afterthought. The parkour in the overworld feels tacked on. I just wish this game was better, especially since the chances of there being an FFX3 are bigger than ever.</p>",
