I was diagnosed with <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/ADHD\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>ADHD</span></a> as an adult in 2009 by my primary care physician at the time, and do you wanna know what the official diagnostic process was? A simple, 10-question self-assessment form with a cumulative score at the end.</p><p>THAT'S IT.</p><p>I answered truthfully, got my diagnosis, and I've been receiving treatment ever since. It makes me absolutely <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/furious\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>furious</span></a> that patients seeking an ADHD diagnosis nowadays are being subjected to such a ridiculous process, which seems deliberately designed to prevent them from being diagnosed!</p><p>Making an untreated ADHD patient jump through countless administrative and scheduling hoops is like asking a <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/blind\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>blind</span></a> person to solve one of those traffic light <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/CAPTCHAs\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>CAPTCHAs</span></a>, or asking a <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/deaf\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>deaf</span></a> person to name the title and artist of a song playing on the radio.</p><p>Seriously, I'm losing my cool over here, and it's not just my <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/hyperactive\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>hyperactive</span></a> sense of <a href=\"https://techhub.social/tags/injustice\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>injustice</span></a>. This kind of policy should be straight up illegal. 🤬</p>",
