"content": "Sex is objective and measurable. You can determine a person's sex who lacks capacity. It can be measured before birth and even after death.<br><br>Gender Identity requires you to ask the person, for them to have capacity and understanding to make that identification of themselves and express it. <br><br>This is something that I put on my - ignored - consultation response to Scottish Govt. Gender Identity is fundamentally discrimanatory. Anyone who by age, intellectual disability or illness/accident affecting capacity cannot understand, frame and express their Gender Identity has it either imposed on them, or removed and becomes a non-person.<br><br>Sex has limited applications in society. Your ability to go swimming, or study maths is not affected by your sex. But in those limited applications it is absolutely vital. And while sexism continues to exist - your right to go swimming or study maths is affected by others determination of what is proper for your sex - we cannot simply abandon it as a means of organising society.<br><br>Gender Identity is not only not an improvement, it is damaging.",
