"content": "In learning about the exclusion of a woman, <span class=\"h-card\"><a class=\"u-url mention\" data-user=\"9y4Bca05EPc5jfvhaq\" href=\"https://spinster.xyz/users/Avapark\" rel=\"ugc\">@<span>Avapark</span></a></span> , from the Glastonbury Goddess Conference because of her knowing that men are not women and not shutting up about that, I had some thoughts.<br><br> I have extricated myself from the grip of Patriarchal Christianity some time ago, and found a measure of healing and peace from the wounds inflicted on me by Patriarchy, in the woman centred Goddess spirituality movement. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, and I'm not sure I believe in a personal deity per se, but I find that I have a liking for ritual and connection that way.<br><br> Imagine my rising sense of despair as I watch patriarchal authoritarianism colonize another area via the trans ideological movement. It got me thinking about the Patriarchy in a bigger sense, and how there is something in it which seems to colonize and penetrate everywhere that has been marked as a boundary - like there is some primal male need to do this in all possible ways. It's really fucked me off.",
