The day she turns 18, we need to lock down her credit report because you know someone else is going to try to exploit it. We may have to add her to one of our cards before that just so that we can protect her future financial security.</p><p>I think it's worth making clear that while the 3 credit agencies are evil incarnate, it's the US government that has allowed this to happen. No real privacy laws and their apathy toward private companies collecting SSNs and using them as unique identifiers caused this.</p><p>I am so sick of this stupid system.</p>",
