Of course. The so-called Big Dry Creek Trail is less than a mile from where I now sit in Westminster, Colorado, writing about my little morning adventure.</p><p>I&#8217;d walked along part of the trail months ago on an extended visit without a bike, so I already knew the name is a little misleading. The creek is not dry at all. (See photos.) I&#8217;m not sure how it qualifies as big, so will not pick that nit.</p><p>I&#8217;d never ridden my bike on the trail, so I gave it a try, setting out in one direction. I went about five miles before getting the first flat I&#8217;ve had in at least a couple of years.</p><p>Clearly, I&#8217;d gone in the wrong direction, so I backtracked after replacing the tube.</p><p>The trail is quite scenic in both directions, with a few easy hills and lots of curves. And who doesn&#8217;t like hills and curves, right?</p><p>It&#8217;s pretty well marked so you don&#8217;t have to guess what to do at the many intersecting trails and occasional shortcuts to neighborhood streets and little parks and points of interest.</p><p>Several miles after the flat, going in the right direction, I found myself on the south end of Thornton and figured that was far enough. I just don&#8217;t like thorns very much at all.</p><p>The Big Dry Creek Trail is about 12 miles end to end.</p><p>Pedal on, my friends.</p><p>B.J.</p><figure
