"content": "These are, perhaps the most important verses for understanding what Jesus has done for you in a practical sense.<br><br>In them, Paul compares the 10 commandments, and more generally the Law, and examples of doing good in the whole Bible, and says "these are a yoke of slavery".<br><br>All who come to know Jesus as deliverer, do so by coming to Jesus, with nothing to offer but their evil self. This first step is done, relying on Jesus' mercy alone.<br><br>What we can see here? That from the very beginning Paul warns that you'll have to be vigilant in order to stay in that place of relying on Jesus' mercy.<br><br>For the reason of a man, vastly prefers to pursue self improvement to become more acceptable to God. It is the same now.\r\n\r\n30But what does the Scripture say? “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”e 31Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.\r\n\r\n1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. "content": "These are, perhaps the most important verses for understanding what Jesus has done for you in a practical sense.\r\n\r\nIn them, Paul compares the 10 commandments, and more generally the Law, and examples of doing good in the whole Bible, and says \"these are a yoke of slavery\".\r\n\r\nAll who come to know Jesus as deliverer, do so by coming to Jesus, with nothing to offer but their evil self. This first step is done, relying on Jesus' mercy alone.\r\n\r\nWhat we can see here? That from the very beginning Paul warns that you'll have to be vigilant in order to stay in that place of relying on Jesus' mercy.\r\n\r\nFor the reason of a man, vastly prefers to pursue self improvement to become more acceptable to God.
