"content": "<p>The organizations that run the AIDS/LifeCycle announced this week that due to increasing costs of running the event and low participation over the past few years, 2025 will be the last time the ride will happen. </p><p>It's very sad that this event that has been happening for the last 30 years will come to an end. The organizations that the fundraising support will continue to provide services to the communities they serve, but without running the ride as part of their fundraising.</p><p>I did my first ALC in 2013, and have gone back every year since then (except in 2020 and 2021 when the event didn't happen). I have been a roadie/volunteer twice, and a rider 8 times.
