"content": "I'm not the first to say this by any means, but I do think it's important nonetheless to mention that needless edgelordism is probably the most detrimental thing to happen to our movement in a long time. It makes you come across as a loser, disconnected from reality and bitter at the world for your own personal failings, and will be used to completely discount anything you have to say. More than that though, it isn't even about "optics" fundamentally, but rather the entire mindset of "doomerism" and misanthropy, along with all it entails. Yes, the plebs are dumb, but never forget that they've been indoctrinated into Liberal Democracy(TM) by a propaganda system so pervasive it makes the USSR's rather overt and heavy-handed work look utterly amateurish. From their entire lives they've been brought up not only to believe in the system's ideology but to view the world through a totally warped lens, wherein our beliefs look totally insane since they are reached through reasoning totally alien to that of the current paradigm. The plebs aren't even stupid so much as they're just not thinking outside of the box, once you understand that it becomes a lot easier to sympathise with their inability to grasp things the way that we do. They view everything in terms of "rights" or "principles" with no real foundation for any of it other than pure a priori assertion, and quite understandably see our views as unthinkable due to them having a completely different basis. Remember, almost all of us were once stuck in this bubble too, and we didn't leave it by seeing a bunch of schizophrenic weirdos telling us to die for not loving Charles Manson and Joseph Stalin.<br/><br/>TL;DR - Live, Love, Laugh. Don't be an asshole to the normies.",
