"content": "It might just be possible to visit Reykjavík without taking a look at Hallgrímskirkja but we've not managed to do so yet across three trips and we certainly couldn't avoid it on our first visit to Iceland's capital in 2015. "name": "A minimalist shot. We're standing outside a modernist architecture church on a cloudy day. The sky is white and almost textureless while the church is an imposing, grey, concrete structure in front. We're close and looking slightly upwards to take in the full front view of the building. The church has a central tower with a large, concrete, gothic arch of stained glass at the bottom and six small rectangular windows up its length to a clock face. Above there is a tapering tower with some lookout points. The sides of the church also taper, stepping up in a series long, thin, square-form columns slightly leaning in to the main tower. The effect is to produce a jagged triangular shape from this position. The concrete columns look similar to basalt columns to some extent bringing some of nature into the bleak, brutalist building.",
