"content": "<p>Hello all since I moved to neuromatch.social, an <a href=\"https://neuromatch.social/tags/introduction\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>introduction</span></a> </p><p>I'm a Professor at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. I have a joint appointment in the Dept. Psychology and in the Dept. Physiology & Pharmacology. </p><p>My research area is the neuroscience of motor control and motor learning. I work mainly with humans, doing experiments and using computational models to understand how the nervous system produces voluntary movement and the computational basis of how we learn new motor skills.</p><p>I teach courses in Statistics, and in Scientific Computing, and sometimes Sensorimotor Neuroscience.</p><p>I'm an immigrant, we moved to Canada from South Africa when I was 18 months old. I grew up in Vancouver, BC on the west coast of Canada.</p><p>Looking forward to being a part of this wonderful community.</p>",
