I have a joint appointment in the Dept. Psychology and in the Dept. Physiology &amp; Pharmacology. </p><p>My research area is the neuroscience of motor control and motor learning. I work mainly with humans, doing experiments and using computational models to understand how the nervous system produces voluntary movement and the computational basis of how we learn new motor skills.</p><p>I teach courses in Statistics, and in Scientific Computing, and sometimes Sensorimotor Neuroscience.</p><p>I&#39;m an immigrant, we moved to Canada from South Africa when I was 18 months old.
