It had an 8GB and a 4GB memory module, so couldn&#39;t take advantage of dual-channel memory. Replaced the 4GB with an 8GB module. That should make a difference. </p><p>Of course, the big upgrade was going from a slow hard drive to an SSD. </p><p>This machine already had an Intel i7-4770 processor, which is great for the owner as they do light web browsing and documents.
