Nelle foto seguenti la prima immagine da sinistra è una membrana sinoviale sana, dove ci sono tanti spazi bianchi (il grasso). Le aree vinaccia invece sono colorazioni per le cellule del sistema immunitario, che normalmente rappresentano la minoranza. Andando verso destra si vedono foto di membrane sinoviali infiammate e che aumentano le cellule del sistema immunitario.</p>",
