I was so little I can’t remember the words or even the whole song but I remember the cadence of my father’s voice + the main melody. </p><p>Years later I discovered ‘You Just May Be the One’ by The Monkees has a very similar melody and rhythm as that lullaby. The song turned into a way to summon my father whenever I needed his strength or love. I’ve been grateful for that song my entire life but especially since his passing. 💕</p>",
