Was it really that shocking?</p><p>Because I did hear a lot of "oh boy we never saw this coming" here, and I think that *was* the case—with a few exceptions, most people on both sides, including conservatives, didn't think Trump had a chance in hell. Mainstream conservatives thought the Republican Party had doomed itself with someone like Trump.</p>",
