We had more snow today on the Phantom Creek trail near 2300m Slough Lake, than at this time 3 years ago. Still are quite skimpy, overall, our snowpacks. This trail goes west up a side gulch from East Rosebud Canyon, to the Froze to Death Plateau, eventually up to 3200m, 8K further from the lake. Turned back when it got halfway between ankle and knee deep, cold/shaded, and a moose up the way.</p>",
