They will not find them here.</p><p>I have been around the <a href=\"https://mastodon.social/tags/fediverse\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>fediverse</span></a> long enough to remember that mastodon communities have seriously questioned whether mass adoption is even a desirable objective. </p><p>Choices have consequences.</p><p>This is not the end for the <a href=\"https://mastodon.social/tags/activitypub\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>activitypub</span></a> universe, it just means it needs to forget about emulating twitter (somebody else is nowadays doing it much better) and focus on the unique qualities.</p>",
