(The process is currently relatively uncomplicated for developers but not for people without technical knowledge.)</p><p>The danger, of course, is that a large company with lots of money will start a Mastodon node just like Google did with Gmail (Gastodon?)</p><p>Mastodon is an amazing effort and I’m glad it exists. Our next challenge is decentralising at the scale of the individual, not the community.</p>",
