About how much it must hurt to walk through life knowing people hate you just because you’re you.</p><p>It breaks my fucking heart. Truly tears it in two. It literally made me cry today.</p><p>This is why I get so passionately fucking angry about fascism and bigotry. "name": "A short film that begins with a white woman giving birth in a hospital with the black father by her side. It then shows children of different genders and ethnicities playing together, one of them being the new baby from the previous scene. The progression of the light-skinned black gay boy shows his suffering through what should be typical teenage experiences, such as being at a party with heterosexual couples dancing together. He’s also shown crying in his room, analyzing himself in the mirror, and arguing with his mother who it is implied is harassing him for his sexuality. Throughout there are clips woven in of churches, civil rights highlights, and Americans pretending to be inclusive with their flags. It continues with scenes of him with his boyfriend, just doing couple things like swimming, listening to records, and walking around town. In one scene they are harassed by some other men. Then he is proposed to by his boyfriend. They show their wedding and reception, where everyone is filled with joy and love. There are clips flashed in of when he was sad at the teenage couples party as contrast to the joy at his own party. It ends with the black boy as an old man, lying in a hospital bed. His husband is holding his hand to comfort him. The entire story is filmed to normalize their relationship, amplifying the point that their experience in love is no different because they are gay. It ends with a message that reads “Same Love. Support marriage equality. Approve Ref 74.”",
