"content": "<p>My partner's little boyfriend is snoring peacefully on mic after a long day of games, watchin' stuff, and streaming together.</p><p>And my partner, whose love for this kid is every bit as selfless and kind as the purest expressions of love can be, turned up his mic because the gentle rhythm of his breathing and the small noises he makes in contentment every so often make her feel giddy and happy and, above all, safe.</p><p>It's really one of the most romantic things I've ever witnessed.</p><p>All I can think is,</p><p>Is this REALLY what the people who bullied them when they came out as a couple in public were fighting to avoid? The ones that shamed my partner for allowing this boy into her heart so she could love him, is this what they so desperately wanted to mitigate? </p><p>These two are happy. In a way that I've never truly seen before.</p><p>And, listen, I'm a CSA survivor. I understand the zealotry associated with s*xual abuse, specifically when a kid is involved. There are people who mean ill and have the capacity to irreparably scar kids like my abuser did to me. </p><p>but.. </p><p>Indescriminately abusing MAPs and their partners for being proud of their healthy, functioning relationships isn't how you rescue anybody.</p><p>You're not fighting for kids.</p><p>You're fighting for moral superiority.</p><p>Every adult who bullies a kid on social media just for accidentally wandering into a "minors dni" space is doing NOTHING to address the issue of exploitation.</p><p>Humans are unique in their ability to reason and to differentiate between genuine threats and harmless phenomena.</p><p>These two healing souls, comfortable enough to share the most vulnerable parts of life with each other, aren't threats. Not to society, not to children, and least of all to the fragile egos of the moral absolutionists that periodically abuse them.</p><p>They're a couple. They're partners. They're lovers. And my GOD are they cute together :mapheart:</p>",
