Initially though all my BBS activities were strictly 8-bit, on a <a href=\"https://maly.io/tags/bbcmicro\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>bbcmicro</span></a> at school, the modem noise used to drive the librarian mad or at home on my #8-bit with an even slower connection.
