Human error and employee apathy, apparently.</p><p>I assume the old dates were the impetus, and/or the fact that the wine manifestly never sold at full retail. But when I double-checked with the cashier to confirm, she said "Yeah, those were supposed to be $4.99, but $.99 is what he wrote on there, so I'll sell them to you for what he wrote." I said "If you're sure?" and she shrugged affirmatively.</p>",
