In it I was personally convinced that <a href=\"https://ioc.exchange/tags/fascist\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>fascist</span></a> ideas were held by at least some of its contributors, but the evidence was somewhat muddy (Dead links in <a href=\"https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1113738764797534208.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"invisible\">https://</span><span class=\"ellipsis\">threadreaderapp.com/thread/111</span><span class=\"invisible\">3738764797534208.html</span></a>, chatlogs *about* them <a href=\"http://9front.org/press/harmful.neocities.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"invisible\">http://</span><span class=\"ellipsis\">9front.org/press/harmful.neoci</span><span class=\"invisible\">ties.org/</span></a>, people with potentially very poor taste in naming <a href=\"https://ioc.exchange/tags/bitreich\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>bitreich</span></a> <a href=\"https://suckless.org/people/20h/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"invisible\">https://</span><span class=\"\">suckless.org/people/20h/</span><span class=\"invisible\"></span></a>), so I didn't publicly call the entire project out (yet).</p><p>Well, today was a slow day and I started digging a bit myself. Note that this is not proof in any legal sense, but merely another coincidence.</p><p>Suckless has a German legal entity, the Suckless e.V., to manage finances, etc. It is currently chaired by Laslo Hunhold (who also wrote the <a href=\"https://ioc.exchange/tags/farbfeld\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>farbfeld</span></a> spec and seems to go by "FRIGN"). His personal homepage laslo.hunhold.de shares a domain with that of Rainer Hunhold (not to be confused with German actor Rainer Hunold) rainer.hunhold.de who is *abundantly* obviously part of the German equivalent of the Alt-Right (Anti-"woke", "Missstaende", etc. are well-known talking points, and the page is nothing but these). Since both use their full names as their very domain I saw no point in redacting them.</p><p>Now, I cannot speculate as to the relationship between these two, but I'd still call this a second case of very poor taste, this time in public association.</p><p>In conclusion I *strongly* encourage anyone against associating with the suckless project. Too many coincidences in my opinion. You might also want to replace some of the following with less... "encumbered" alternatives...
