This has allowed my wife and I to leave <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/RI\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>RI</span></a> and live in a more affordable area, being <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/upstateNY\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>upstateNY</span></a>.</p><p>It&#39;s been a great change. A lot of places are within walking distance and there seems to be a better sense of community as well. My wife is planning to get involved in the weekly local farmer&#39;s market to sell her art (and maybe her delicious hot oil or pickled jalapenos and onions? :blobcatyes:)</p><p>We also have more room now and I&#39;ve been able to split our gaming consoles between the living room and bedroom. Still a WIP, but I&#39;m pleased that I&#39;m able to have most of the consoles ready to go. Just need a <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/component\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>component</span></a> switch, another <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/HDMI\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>HDMI</span></a> switch, and a bigger <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/AV\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>AV</span></a> switch.</p><p>The living room has the more modern consoles, with everything connected via HDMI, with the exception of the <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Wii\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Wii</span></a> and <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/PS2\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>PS2</span></a>, which precede HDMI output, of course. With those, I use component connections, which look pretty good on our <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/HDTV\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>HDTV</span></a>.</p><p>The bedroom has the older consoles, with most using <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/composite\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>composite</span></a> connections, which usually don&#39;t look great, but on the little HD TV I got for retro gaming, looks just fine. I use <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/SVideo\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>SVideo</span></a> with any of the consoles that have it available, with the <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Atari7800\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Atari7800</span></a> and toploader <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/NES\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>NES</span></a> using <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/RF\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>RF</span></a> (why that was the only option on the NES, I have no idea...well, maybe. Probably cost). The <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Dreamcast\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Dreamcast</span></a> is a special case. The system works with <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/VGA\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>VGA</span></a>, which this TV supports. Along with some cheap wired PC speakers, looks and sounds great.
