"content": "<p>I lurk more than I post, and since I mostly used bird site for staying up to date on infosec news, I figured this is a good initial home for me on Mastodon.</p><p>I've been using computers for 30 years and professionally for 17. I'm an IT Generalist with an interest in security. PowerShell is by far my favorite tool for the job.</p><p>Work/life balance is important to me and I have a wide variety of interests in and out of tech. They change a lot, but currently a few are: hiking, RC cars, reading, Pokemon, and Korean TV shows. I tend to go "all in" on a hobby for a while, then pick up a new one. </p><p>I consider myself a lifetime learner and love learning new skills. If I ever get a tattoo, it will be the kanji for<br />"kaizen"</p><p>I'm a husband and a dad - I don't post a ton of specifics about my family but do share occasional anecdotes.</p><p>This year around May/June I decided to start reading every single day, and it's one of my favorite life habits in a long time. I'll probably post my reading list at the end of the year of this year's completed books. I've only missed 1 day since mid May. </p><p>I think that's it for now.</p>",
