The following is probably inaccurate!</p><p>I’m Alex, better know as Axman6 pretty much everywhere you can think of - IRC (libera.chat#haskell etc.), 🦤 site, probably LinkedIn and others too.</p><p>As far as jobs and hobbies are concerned, I’ve been a professional <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Haskell\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Haskell</span></a> developer for nearly a decade, with various roles in finance and <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/HFT\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>HFT</span></a> (despite not really having much of an interest in finance…), in the public sector where I worked on much of the <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/RenewableEnergy\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>RenewableEnergy</span></a> parts of <a href=\"https://nationalmap.gov.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"invisible\">https://</span><span class=\"\">nationalmap.gov.au</span><span class=\"invisible\"></span></a> at <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/NICTA\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>NICTA</span></a> &amp; <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/CSIRO\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>CSIRO</span></a>, writing backend services in Haskell, doing lots of <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/geospatial\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>geospatial</span></a> data processing, <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/SQL\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>SQL</span></a>, <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/DevOps\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>DevOps</span></a> and much more. </p><p>Previously writing <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Daml\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Daml</span></a>, a dialect of Haskell, for a large financial system. Currently working for a Canberra based startup making scientific test and measurement equipment using <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/FPGAs\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>FPGAs</span></a>, <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/python\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>python</span></a> &amp; <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/C\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>C</span></a>.</p><p>if you’re in need of an experienced remote Haskell dev who loves to make things go fast, I’d love to have a chat. </p><p>Previously undertaking Masters in <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/cybersecurity\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>cybersecurity</span></a> at <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/UNSW\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>UNSW</span></a> but gave it up because of the lack of advanced content.</p><p>I’ve got a strong interest in <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/cryptography\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>cryptography</span></a>, <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/integrity\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>integrity</span></a>, as well as <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/hacking\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>hacking</span></a> things to see how they work, and love a good <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/CTF\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>CTF</span></a>.</p><p>On the more personal side of things, I’m based in <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/Canberra\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Canberra</span></a>, <a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/australia\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>australia</span></a>.
