"content": "<p>Time to introduce myself here, because I didn't do it properly. </p><p>I'm John Opdenakker and I'm a Belgian so I love me some Belgian fries and a good Belgian beer from time to time. If you follow me on social media you'll have to tolerate my bad humor.</p><p>Professionally I have a development background. Started in C++, then desktop apps in .NET (C#) and evolved to web appliation development. Then got bitten by the application security and security awareness microbe. Nowadays I am a security manager involved in creating a security culture, managing security compliance and appsec programs,... Since recently I'm running a self-employed side gig as well in which I focus on helping companies with improving their security posture. I have a broad interest in different security domains and love to learn from experiences from others.</p><p>What truly makes me happy are the small wins, where as a security practitioner I can help to implement a pragmatic and usable solution that improves security AND makes life easier on people.</p><p><a href=\"https://infosec.exchange/tags/introduction\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>introduction</span></a></p>",
