And my first genuine reaction was: “There’s a dog bark sound effect in GNOME?!”. Yup, there is. Open Settings > Sound and scroll to the ‘Alert Sound’ section near the bottom. There, right before your eyes is a sound pound (sorry) with four choices: bark, drip, glass, and sonar (irrelevant trivia: drip is the sound effect I hear regularly in Fedora as it’s what GNOME Terminal plays when it can’t find/auto-complete the command I’m ham-fistedly trying to type). Weirdly, for reasons unknown, an Ubuntu user is being hounded :sys_more_orange:<br /><a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Community\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Community</span></a> <a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Dev\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Dev</span></a> <a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Fluff\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Fluff</span></a> <a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Gnome43\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Gnome43</span></a> <a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Random\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Random</span></a> <a href=\"https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Soundthemes\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>Soundthemes</span></a> </p><p>:sys_omgubuntu: <a href=\"https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/gnome-removes-dog-bark-sound-effect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"invisible\">https://www.</span><span class=\"ellipsis\">omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/gnome-</span><span class=\"invisible\">removes-dog-bark-sound-effect</span></a></p>",
