Here's our <a href=\"https://hcommons.social/tags/introduction\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>introduction</span></a> post:</p><p>The Media History Digital Library (MHDL) is a free online resource, featuring millions of pages from the histories of <a href=\"https://hcommons.social/tags/film\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>film</span></a>, <a href=\"https://hcommons.social/tags/broadcasting\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>broadcasting</span></a>, and <a href=\"https://hcommons.social/tags/recorded\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>recorded</span></a> <a href=\"https://hcommons.social/tags/sound\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>sound</span></a>. We provide access to industry trade papers, magazines, Hollywood pressbooks, technical journals, and more.</p><p>Lantern, the MHDL's full-text search platform, enables researchers to query specific words or phrases within scanned pages.</p><p>We hope the MHDL has had a transformative impact on the study of film & broadcasting history.
