The assumptions of place-fungibility in this argument are pretty bonkers, and that's what I've tended to focus on- the sacrifice zones that get created and the people and families who are assumed to be mere widgets, governed by only one wish.</p><p>I am realizing now, as someone in the process of doing that move, that economics and place ties are factors, but the overall dissuading force is FRICTION.</p>",
