I got an offer on Monday! My current temporary job involves harassment, and when I pointed it out, I was told it was annoying and ended in November. I was fired. It's a famous smartphone game company. PHP work. The tech stack is also similar to GNU social. It's a big win. In my case, I couldn't get in unless I was a temporary worker. I held out... The temporary employment agency was pushing me to give an answer on the same day, which was a bit annoying, so I negotiated my hourly wage and got it increased from 2500 to 2600 yen. I've overcome the most difficult times in the last 1-2 years, so it's all downhill from here. In a few more years I'll be able to show my true colors. I haven't shown my true colors yet.
\n
\nIt's been 9 months since I announced the end of site updates in \"Notice: GNU social JP Web site updates will be stopped | GNU social JP Web\". It's been 4 months since I wrote \"Annual Report: Collars, Intentions, and Desires, and Doing Something Alone | GNU social JP Web\". A lot has happened in the meantime, but I've decided that I'm in a position to resume development work on GNU sociall, so I'm announcing this to commemorate the occasion. That time has finally come. It's been a long time.
\n
\nBackground
\n
\nI imposed the following two conditions on myself to resume development work.
\n
\nEstablish a stable PHP job.
\n
\nEnsure a stable income.
\n
\nI needed one of the above two points, or preferably both. Continuous development work requires a stable base. Know-how and money. Without at least one of them, it's impossible to continue.
\n
\nMoney is especially important, and with money, almost all problems in the world can be solved. The purpose of this site was to secure an income.
\n
\nHowever, since it is not so easy to earn passive income, I listed a stable PHP job as another condition. GNU social is a PHP project, so it is very important that it is PHP. Also, mastering PHP and having development experience will directly help with the development of GNU social. I was originally a C++ development engineer and was not very familiar with PHP, so this was important.
\n
\nSince updating the site, I have been working desperately on these two points.
\n
\nIn April, I was able to get a freelance PHP job, but I left after one month due to power harassment. After that, I had a hard time looking for a job, including hiring people with disabilities. After two months of searching, I started working as an in-house system engineer at JTC (Japanese Traditional Company) as a dispatched employee from July. However, as is typical of JTC, I had to endure days of harassment in the workplace.
\n
\nAnd then, in December, I got my dream job. This is also a dispatched job, but it is expected to be a very good workplace. It is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and is a company that operates a social networking site with a longer history than GNU social. In my case, it is quite difficult to join as a full-time employee. As a temp worker, I was able to get a good job at a big company, and this was my goal. I never thought I would be able to get a job at a company like this in my life. The technology stack is also the old-fashioned LAMP, which is almost the same as GNU social.
\n
\nNow that I have the job, I will move on to the next phase. I will resume the development work that I had stopped. My regular working hours are 09:30-18:30, so I will use 06:00-09:30 before going to work, and until 08:00 before starting remote work, and the first 1-3 hours after waking up just for GNU social. This will allow me to secure at least a little time for GNU social every day.
\n
\nAfter that, I will also work on securing the second source of income in parallel. If both 1 and 2 are achieved, I have practically won. I can rebuild it on my own. Time is everything.
\n
\nConclusion
\n
\nThis was an announcement that development will resume. For the time being, I will work on the mundane base work described in \"Announcement: GNU social JP Web site updates will be suspended | GNU social JP Web\".
\n
\nSelf-hosting the repository.
\nPreparation of the deployment environment with Docker.
\n
\nUpdate of HTTP client.
\n
\nI will work on preparing the base in this order. I think it will take 2-3 months.
\n
\nThis year has been a difficult one for work, site management, and real estate management. It's a terrible life. However, I think those days were a process to reach this job. I feel that I had a year for this day, and two years since I started my activities. This is why I discovered my disability, and researched sleeping pills and supplements to deal with my sleep disorder. I will make full use of these and get up every morning to make time.
\n
\nToday is my first day of work. I haven't started yet, so there is a possibility that I will be harassed again. I hope that this is not the case, and I will wait with excitement and excitement for what kind of world awaits me.
\n
\nIt's all about what you do. I will steadily move forward according to my plan.",
