It may be my favorite David Lynch movie (so far).</p><p>I welcomed that tonal shift. Sometimes it felt like the more humorous tone of the TV show downplayed the horrors of what happened in Twin Peaks. I loved how every character became much more morally ambiguous in the movie; they’re more human here.</p><p>As hard as it was to watch Laura Palmer’s abuse — I’m a domestic violence survivor myself —, I also felt seen.
