"content": "<p>民営化の話で最近恐ろしかったのは、英国のテムズ川の汚染の話。</p><p>私のテムズ川の知識は、「産業革命以降、工場排水などがそのまま流されて汚染されたけど、その後がんばってまたきれいにした」っていうところでとまっていたのですが、きれいになったあと、80年代に水道会社が民営化されて、ちゃんと処理していない下水をそのまま川に流したりすることも起きるようになって、再び危険なレベルにまで汚染されてしまったみたいです。</p><p>最近は、水道会社を国営に戻す話もすすんでいるけど、そうするとその会社の巨額の負債を政府が丸抱えすることになるし、80年代に保守党のサッチャー首相がやった民営化が失敗だったと認めることになるし、選挙で保守党に不利になるから、とかで政府はやや二の足を踏んでいる、みたいな報道が出ていました。</p><p>こうしたことは、すでにいろんなところ（経団連副会長など）にヴェオリア・ジャパンに入り込まれている日本でも、人ごとではない気がします。</p><p>やはり、インフラの民営化をすると、してはいけない「コストカット」をしてしまい、あらかじめ予測できた以上の社会的コストとなって跳ね返ってくる可能性が高いのではないでしょうか。</p><p>日本も水道の民営化をこれ以上すすめるのはやめて、鉄道も郵便も再度国営に戻してほしいです。</p><p><a href=\"https://fedibird.com/tags/%E6%B0%B4%E9%81%93%E6%B0%91%E5%96%B6%E5%8C%96\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>水道民営化</span></a></p>",
