"content": "<p>周の穆王の時代のこと、西の果ての国に幻術士がいて、周の都にやって来た。彼は水火に入り、金石を貫き、山川を反転させ、城市を移動させた。虚に乗って墜ちず、実に接して妨げられず、千変万化して極まるところがなかった――と『列子』にあり。</p><p>原文は、西極之國，有化人來，入水火，貫金石、反山川，移城邑、乘虛不墜，觸實不硋…、ここに「貫金石」とあるのをどう解釈するか。<br />金属や石に穴をあけると訳した例もあるが、そのくらいのことは工人ならでき、幻術者の能力として列挙するようなものではない。「金属や石を通り抜けた」と壁抜け的に解釈すべきだろう。<br />「入水火，貫金石」が対句表現であることにも注意したい。金属や石に穴をあけたと解釈したのでは対句性が弱い。つづく「反山川，移城邑」も、「乘虛不墜，觸實不硋」も対句。同じ技法を並べて幻術士の不思議な能力を表現しているのであり、「貫金石」も「入水火」に釣り合う重みで解釈したい。</p><p>以上のようなことであれば、『聊斎志異』より2000年ほどもさかのぼった紀元前から中国では壁抜け術が知られていたことになる。すでに穆王の時代からそんな話ができていたとすれば、さらに千年さかのぼることに。</p><p><a href=\"https://fedibird.com/tags/%E5%88%97%E5%AD%90\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>列子</span></a></p>",
