I just tried to log into <a href=\"https://flattr.com/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" translate=\"no\"><span class=\"invisible\">https://</span><span class=\"\">flattr.com/</span><span class=\"invisible\"></span></a> to change my address there, and I see that they shut down last year. 😞<br />For those who don't know, Flattr was a web content <a href=\"https://federate.social/tags/micropayments\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>micropayments</span></a> platform.<br />If Flattr had succeeded, the web would be a better place today.<br /><a href=\"https://federate.social/tags/AdTech\" class=\"mention hashtag\" rel=\"tag\">#<span>AdTech</span></a> is universally terrible.<br />Micro-payments would be better for most content providers than ads. I just don't know how to get there from here. *sigh*</p>",
