If so, it means those who rely on social media primarily as a means to drive readership may end up disappointed with Mastodon.</p><p>But I've also seen more than a few writers build new avenues of engagement here, too. Quite happily at that.</p><p>Again: Mastodon is its own thing. Best to accept it on its own terms.</p>",
