"name": "A little clip of Sini wearing the hat she has been making, and doing a little spin. She adjusts the hat, not quite sure where it wants to go yet. The crown is a black matte linen, the rise of the hat is covered in ruched gray viscose that resembles silk, and the same ruched and ironed gray is on the top of the brim also. There's a bit of black lace sewn in the middle of it. The brim of the hat has a sort of semi spiral shape, that lets the brim drop lower in the front, shading the eyes, and kicks up in a showy swoop in the side back. She is wearing a greyscale headscarf as she is at home, but it may be imagined that a fashionable up do on a wig would be shown off nicely by the up turned brim there. She is wearing a black blouse, a day bed with pillows and a quilt in the background.",

"name": "First step of the hat making, which is the rather geometric patterns of the brim and crown cut out from black fabric, with plenty of extra seam allowance. The crown is a slightly squished oval and the brim, made of two parts, has additions and subtractions along what started out as a perfect circle radius, making the swooping spiral shape of the hat happen later. These are extremely vibes based. Patterns labelled: \"Little hat.\"",

"name": "The grey ruching on the assembled brim. There are the signs of gathering threads that have been unpicked, the shirred material then having been ironed flat. It's a whole bunch of texture. Lines of stay stitching are on the inside and outside edges of the brim, which has a hole in the middle for the crown.",

"name": "A progress shot of the hat, with the crown and band on and top stitched, the lace on the ruching, and the brim without its brim wire and petersham ribbon edge finish. It's a rather skronkled and wrinkled arrangement, but there's a bit of an indication that it just might become a hat. The black and gray are a pretty solid and safe colour combination, but provide a bit of interest. The lace on the brim very conveniently hides some of the gathering thread scarring, and also provides extra structure for the rather floppy and soft brim. The fusible interfacing has failed Sini, but creativity has picked up where it left off.",
