It's facile and kinda stupid but yet it blows rich people's minds constantly. </p><p>Just because humans experience reality through our subjective senses doesn't mean reality doesn't exist or is some "simulation" created outside of our own brains (our experience of reality is mediated by our senses, just like every other creatures is). This is VERY religious thinking, it's basically intelligent design with a superficial layer of modernity.</p><p>For instance, Post Modernism is ALL about this. PoMo doesn't posit reality doesn't exist, it acknowledges we construct narratives about reality on collective cultural levels and, on individual levels, we're all bound by our subjectivity even when we're aiming to be as objective as possible. Our own biases and subjectivity are so impossible to control for on an individual level that it's literally why we designed double-blind studies.</p>",
