It was also very much about cults of personality (as EA/Longermerism are) but it also involved some interesting self experimentation with body modification, etc...(see Orlon's plastic surgery, etc). It's transgender friendly and basically about body modification and extending one's consciousness (but still being embodied, it was ultimately a lot about being embodied and the potential to transform and augment human bodies).
