Just create a room and invite guests / send out the link.Let me know how things go. One other tid bit of advice, I think when you are on there is a noise-canceling setting. I have mine turned on usually, but I think by default it is turned off. Helps quite a bit when you have some users with a lot of background noise (like cars etc).

I also wanted to enable recording, but I think I have some ports I need to enable to get that piece working.

There is also https://video.osgeo.org (PeerTube instance) that has some live streaming capability which I haven't had a chance to explore to see if I have that setup right. But you can use it if you want to store chapter meeting meetups. It's currently used to store FOSS4G videos and some training videos people have recorded on youtube that they would like to store elsewhere without commercials.

Discuss this on our forum.", "inReplyTo": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/object/359b656ebfb3e5bc78f57410428fddb6", "@context": "https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams" }, { "id": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/object/359b656ebfb3e5bc78f57410428fddb6", "type": "Note", "audience": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/actor/d69861bff1600151b3cf3170936fcbb0", "to": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/actor/d69861bff1600151b3cf3170936fcbb0", "cc": [ "https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Public" ], "published": "2024-12-22T16:02:44Z", "updated": "2024-12-22T16:02:44Z", "url": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/t/hosting-online-osgeo-events/111831/3", "attributedTo": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/actor/8eeea24bbdb9070d910bddfe6077f120", "context": "https://discourse.osgeo.org/ap/collection/850492a2d220eb09f4d36b75f2dddd56", "content": "
Thanks Regina - https://meet.osgeo.org looks perfect.
