"content": "<p>Hello all,</p><p>No more functionality will be added to pgRouting.We expect to make the 3.7.0 release on November:</p><ol><li>if we manage to fix an issue with postgreSQL 12 then it would be before November 14</li><li>If we can not fix the issue with postgreSQL 12 then the release will be after November 14</li></ol><p>What is allowed:</p><ul><li>Translations</li><li>Documentation fixes</li><li>pgTap tests</li><li>Code cleanup</li></ul><p>After 3.7.0 work will be done towards 4.0.0which will include:</p><ul><li>Remove deprecated functionality<ul><li>Code cleanup</li></ul></li><li>Reclassification of functions:<ul><li>experimental to proposed function</li><li>proposed to official</li></ul></li><li>Documentation adjustments<ul><li>Translations</li></ul></li><li>pgTap tests adjustments</li></ul><p>We do not accept new functionality on the first release of a mayor.If you plan to add more functionality to pgRouting, you can start by:</p><ul><li>Creating a discussion of your proposed functionality in pgrouting-dev category</li><li>Base your code on v3.7.0 which will be as closer to the work we will be doing for 4.0.0</li><li>Once 4.0.0 is released the PR can be made to 4.1.0 which allows new functionality.</li></ul><p>Remember that we are no longer supporting MSVC see <a href=\"https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting/pull/2504\">PR 2504</a> and this <a href=\"https://github.com/pgRouting/pgrouting/pull/2504/commits/d5b317e8326a543e831911fee4a7060618b64af4\">commit</a></p><p>Regards.pgRouting PSC</p><br><br><a href=\"https://discourse.osgeo.org/t/freeze-develop-pgrouting-v-3-7-0-for-new-functionality/59338/1\">Discuss this on our forum.</a>",
