"content": "<p>So, I thought I was pretty au fait with Hanna-Barbera and their shows. But today's video game is based on a show that I wasn't familiar with!</p><p>SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron<br />If Kats was used a Z instead of an S, then I think the coolness matrix would have imploded on itself.</p><p>Anyway, I digress. It's a standard 2D platformer with a level-up system, which is pretty novel. Usually, that is reserved for MetroidVanias. Level ups increase your damage and health, as well as give you better projectiles.<br />There are also some very questionable mode7 vehicle sections which, whilst visually cool, can prove to be very frustrating.</p><p>Once you get used to some of the quirks, it can be quite a fun game in places.
