This is all too relevant to Destiny given his current situation.

Moreover, the point he makes here in the following clip is actually possibly the most important point he's ever made, and what I would consider the most important fact of the Social Internet since social media has existed and likely into the future as well.

Destiny in the clip states that the reality of the situation when it comes to influencers online is that ultimately they can be mogged by coordinated alog narrative-building (effectively) defamatory gaslighting by fast-paced lore discussion echo chambers (eg Destiny's Kiwifarms thread), as well as select "endearing" e-influencer alogs who can pick and choose which facts they want to report on and which they don't to tactfully build a perception/narrative of someone as a negative caricature of who they are and the what they have said/meant. Furthermore, Destiny goes onto say that these narratives can be kept alive, bubbling under the surface, so that when Destiny gets into a fight with someone online, all these narratives can be brought out to be used as leverage by whomever quarreling with Destiny at a given moment if they wanted to fight dirty online. To put it in EU4 terminology, it's like having a coalition built against you, and any more aggressive expansion will get more members into the coalition against you until you're basically out of countries to take over because they are all in the coalition.

TL;DR Alogs can win out with fan fiction if you don't address it properly, so in my opinion, you're probably better off strategically playing nice with fan fiction distributors rather than trying to fight them, because they are more agile than you, have more time to dedicate to crafting narratives, and can collectivize your enemies under a single banner if they really wanted to.",

"content": "Destiny is a soy, limp-wristed faggot and that's why it's always bittersweet when he's correct on a topic, and as much as many people on this side of the Internet may not like it, when it comes to deconstructing a given situation and providing prescriptions for analogous scenarios, he's been pretty damn near on the ball from what I've see of his streaming career within the past 5 years.\r\n\r\nOne of his current streamer alogs clipped the following clip from maybe a year or two ago where Destiny is discussing what the reality of Internet public consciousness and narrative-building on the Internet looks like. This is all too relevant to Destiny given his current situation.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the point he makes here in the following clip is actually possibly the most important point he's ever made, and what I would consider the most important fact of the Social Internet since social media has existed and likely into the future as well.\r\n\r\nDestiny in the clip states that the reality of the situation when it comes to influencers online is that ultimately they can be mogged by coordinated alog narrative-building (effectively) defamatory gaslighting by fast-paced lore discussion echo chambers (eg Destiny's Kiwifarms thread), as well as select \"endearing\" e-influencer alogs who can pick and choose which facts they want to report on and which they don't to tactfully build a perception/narrative of someone as a negative caricature of who they are and the what they have said/meant. To put it in EU4 terminology, it's like having a coalition built against you, and any more aggressive expansion will get more members into the coalition against you until you're basically out of countries to take over because they are all in the coalition.\r\n\r\nTL;DR Alogs can win out with fan fiction if you don't address it properly, so in my opinion, you're probably better off strategically playing nice with fan fiction distributors rather than trying to fight them, because they are more agile than you, have more time to dedicate to crafting narratives, and can collectivize your enemies under a single banner if they really wanted to.",

"content": "The signature of the \"Remilia Network\" is that they will just broadcast and relay their messaging across each of their near-identical fumo-eque avis, in a sort of daisy chain of clout-boosting. What's interesting here is that they will relay seemingly whatever message content so long as it's from people within their audience, so for example they'll make a meme out of that they are just getting paid by Peter Thiel and then circulate it around.\r\n\r\nThe way that Remilia operates on social media feels to me like the canary in the coal mine of what we can expect ALL across social media in the future:\r\n\r\n>underground digital economy NFT avis with little distinction between eachother\r\n>minimal to no expressions of opinions online, only spreading cult images and terminology\r\n>unapologetic and massive cult marketing efforts of the branding and its linkages with the financial component (the meme coin)\r\n>an esoteric cult leader who is likely just an operator for the Thiel Network, who is the only one of the entire cult that expresses any commentary beyond memetic cult phrases\r\n\r\nIt's empty. It's disconnected. It's Cyberia and the Wired. Whoever is making bank on Remilia, it's certainly not you. It serves to spam up your mindshare, attention economy, and social media news feed.\r\n\r\nAnd yet, it's one of the biggest online entropic forces around, with at least hundreds of those cherubic little anime faces populating \"dissident right\" corners of Twitter.\r\n\r\nNow when it comes down to all my criticism of it, I'm not saying that I have a principled stance against the Remilia Network, but rather that I'm not getting paid by it, and that they seem to spam up my feed. Over time, Destiny was able to become increasingly niche as his audience grew, so he was able to cultivate larger anti-fan communities. Sometimes these anti-fan communities struck at him, but often times this actually empowered Destiny, as he just used it as content fuel to reinforce his streaming hegemony.

As time went on, and both Destiny and his anti-fans became more entrenched in their positions, the anti-fans realized that they needed to collectivize somewhat temporarily in order to take down Destiny. Destiny has been pretty familiarized with the Internet to this point though, having streamed on it for a number of years and being involved in online communities even longer, so he knew how to pre-empt and defuse a large number of attacks against him, and then Destiny would ultimately uncover the anti-fan conspiracy leader who lead the charge against him so that he could use his platform to "distance himself from them" and then utilize his own crop of online supporters to flood the ecosystem of the Internet arena in which all of this exists with "reputation takedowns" of the anti-fan leader in question so as to limit their ability to lead the charge against Destiny again. This largely worked in Destiny's favor, and even more so as time went on and his online supporters became more seasoned to clout wars, and Destiny's overall online intelligence and counter-intelligence network grew.

However, Destiny has maintained some weaknesses to his overall platform that he hasn't been able to entirely mitigate. Namely, perhaps the biggest one that I've noticed is that in drama spaces which hold philosophical worldviews that are distinctly different from his own, his anti-fan community is able to coalesce easier.

The biggest place for this that I have encountered where this holds true is the Destiny thread on Kiwifarms. Here, Destiny's anti-fans are particularly no-holds-barred with their commentary on Destiny-- ranging anywhere from constructive criticism TO pithy jokes at Destiny's expense TO bad faith mischaracterizations against his character and intentions TO downright seeming vendettas & resentment against Destiny himself. Destiny is somewhat helpless against this constant stream of obsessive commentary that watches his every on-stream move, looking for the next slip-up to potentially blow up as the next "scandal". Sure, he may have a few fans of his that slip onto the forum and covertly lobby and spread some level of Destiny's "soft power" against the endless waves of criticism, but often times even mild pro-Destiny sentiment tends to get weeded out rather quickly.

The Destiny anti-fan community of Kiwifarm is critical in discussing the recent, at least, semi-successful character assassination of Destiny through the recent drama/scandal/controversy because it really served as the foundational layer and the linchpin from which the public PR move against Destiny was able to even come about in the first place.

Without Kiwifarms there would've been no muster and no coalition.

But Kiwifarms did exist, and so there existed both a will and a group of people that were able to operatively collectivize against him.

So with 'the will', it exists suspended in a state of ceaseless obsession toward seemingly taking Destiny down as a streamer, or at least (in some cases) down a few pegs so that he can reckon with some of his own philosophical inconsistencies.
