"content": "The state of WV is trying to rape Timcast so he's leaving.<br><br>The law in question is basically forcing businesses in WV to hire only employees and not contractors. The issue with this is that anyone who is brought on to do work for Timcast must be insured under Timcast, no matter how small their contract gig is. For Timcast to hire someone, the employees have to effectively register as businesses themselves and show licensure that they are able to do the job.<br><br>He's saying that his lawyer is telling him that these laws are popping up all over the country, but because most citizens are involved in their day-to-day, they aren't paying attention to it. <br><br>It's been implemented in California with AB5, and a quick Google search told me that New Jersey, New York, and Illinois are considering it as well.<br><br>Tim framed this as an Agenda 2030 law designed to demolish smaller, non-corporate behemoth businesses and redirect the laid off workers to go work at Walmart, and I'm inclined to agree.
