"content": "<span class=\"h-card\"><a class=\"u-url mention\" data-user=\"A8iljGlPfrMYfkvhBo\" href=\"https://poa.st/users/grey\" rel=\"ugc\">@<span>grey</span></a></span> <span class=\"h-card\"><a class=\"u-url mention\" data-user=\"A8hs3fT924AQM4iols\" href=\"https://poa.st/users/randbot\" rel=\"ugc\">@<span>randbot</span></a></span> I've sort of come at it from a slightly different perspective in that these people have been exposed to this side of the Internet but have also tard-wrangled a whole bunch of viewers.<br><br>To me it was a bit of a project the past couple years or so to figure out what the deal was with that, and look through the layers of their whole ordeal to see how they've been making it work. <br><br>The fact that sites like Kiwifarms exist really serve as a place where all the 'content creator' receipts get kept, so it's like in the first place, if you're a streamer and you've got some skeletons in your closet, you've gotta be pretty good at what you do, and also there's basically a timer set where if you do crazy shit, that's eventually gonna catch up with you when others feel like they can pounce on you by making video essays about "your fall" all at once.<br><br>It feels like the trend has been that these people either end up retiring because their monetization dries up, they troon out for content (at which point, anyone that's not a hypnotized normie will drop them immediately), or all the remaining ones end up fighting with eachother until there's only one or two left.<br><br>When they're all done and they've doxxed and swatted eachother off the Internet, at that point the most hardened dramatuber will be the one that has all the audience and will likely serve as the regime and/or corporate mouthpieces. <br><br>My money is that Null will probably be the one to take up that mantle, especially when the more normie-friendly mainstream people start fading into the background because even normies stop believing what they're selling (eg Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Bill Ackman etc etc).",
